Liesl Warner: One of Adelaide's Leading Professional Harpists

Adelaide born Liesl Warner has warmed local audiences with her charm and romantic style for many years. She began her harp studies at the age of eight with Welsh harpist Lydia Shaxon and was soon heard performing around town with her twin sister Sally on the violin. Equally serious about ballet, she eventually chose the harp and has become well known and respected within Adelaide’s music scene.

Liesl was resident harpist at the Hyatt Hotel for seven years and has been the opening act for three of the late Victor Borge’s Adelaide appearances. Liesl has performed with Kamahl and was support artist for the Australian String Quartet at Opera in the Outback.

Presently, Liesl has established herself as a professional and diverse harpist. She plays for a variety of audiences at a range of venues, and can be seen playing at weddings*, corporate functions, private functions and funerals as well as several annual festivals throughout the year. In addition to this, Liesl teaches harp and has a number of students including both children and adults.
